* We have received reports that the general cargo ship PROGRESS IV (IMO: 8358130) caught fire and subsequently sank approximately 20 nautical miles southeast of Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania, on 27 August 2026.
* The vessel is reported to have been in a laden condition although specific cargo details are not currently available. The cause of the fire and subsequent sinking remains unknown however all crew members were successfully rescued.
* There will be loss or damage to cargo and this will give rise to Recovery issues.
